eRecord - what does it mean?

The name eRecord describes the new Electronic Health Record (EHR) and the new Practice Management System (PM) which will be used throughout the Novant Medical Group practices.

An Electronic Health Record, or EHR, is a patient's medical record that is stored electronically versus in a paper chart. A Practice Management System, or PMS, stores patient demographics such as a patient's address, phone number and insurance information.

Novant Medical Group has contracted with Allscripts Healthcare Solutions™ to develop and deliver an electronic health record and practice management system. Together, we are building new systems that will enhance the patient care experience and streamline workflow.
