About Medical Staff Services
Medical Staff Services is responsible for administrative functions for the organized medical staff, as well as support for all medical and allied health staff. We manage the credentialing functions for the medical and allied health staff for the Southern Piedmont region for all Presbyterian Healthcare facilities.

The Medical Staff currently has over 2,300 medical and allied health staff members practicing within a large variety of specialties in inpatient and outpatient settings.   The staff works diligently to provide excellent customer service and to uphold high quality standards in administering the credentialing and privileging processes and supporting the Medical and Allied Health Staff.

Dr. Zweng is responsible for administrative oversight functions for the department. He serves as the administrative liaison between the Medical Staff and Administration and handles all clinical issues, policy development and implementation.

Nakia processes applications for students, residents, observers and visiting physicians.  She handles hospital verifications, provisional evaluations, assists with NPO activities and credentials packets; and she is responsible for ID badges.  She also develops call schedules for Orthopedics, Hand, Spine, Otolaryngology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Oral Surgery and Rheumatology.
